튀니지 National Water Company이 Zaarat에 위치한 해수 역삼투 담수화 플랜트를 위한 타당성 검사를 완료했고 밝혔다. 이 플랜트는 50,000 m³/d규모로 두 단계를 거쳐 건설될 예정이다.

첫 단계 시작은 2017년 중순에 계획되어 있고 두 번째 단계는 2025~2026년에 완공 예정이다. 두 단계는 각각 따로 입찰할 예정이다. 한편, 아프리카 개발 은행은 프로젝트를 지원하기 위해  200만 달러를 제공한다.

Tunisia desalination project completes feasibility check

Tunisia's National Water Company has completed a feasibility study for a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant to be located at Zaarat, near Tunis. The plant will be constructed in two 50,000 m³/d phases.

The first tranche of capacity is scheduled for startup in mid-2017. The second is planned for completion in 2025-2026 and will be tendered separately.

The African Development Bank provided US$ 2 million to finance the project's advisory phase.
