[미국] 텍사스, 200만 달러 기금 패키지로 급수 향상

텍사스 물개발 이사회(TWDB)가 ‘식수의 주내 순환 기금(DWSRF)’으로부터 텍사스 허니 그로브(Honey Grove)시에 전달하는 200만 달러 가량의 재정 지원을 공식적으로 승인했다. 이번 재정 승인으로 시는 지방의 급수관 시공 자금을 마련할 수 있게 됐다. 또한, DWSRF를 사용함으로써 약 26만4천600만 달러에 달하는 대출금을 절약할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

허니 그로브는 약 3만 피트의 관을 갱생 및 교체할 계획이며, 프로젝트 완공 시 시스템 전반의 누수가 감소할 것으로 보인다.

Texas city to improve water distribution with $2M funding package
 
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has officially approved financial assistance from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) in the amount of $2,025,000 for the City of Honey Grove in Fannin County, Texas.

With the approved assistance, the City will be able to finance the construction of rural water distribution lines. Further, it could save approximately $264,634 over the life of the loan by using the DWSRF.
 
Honey Grove plans to rehabilitate and replace approximately 30,000 linear feet of piping. When complete, the project will help to reduce water loss throughout the system.
