[베올리아] 가나 금광 회사와 수처리시설 계약 갱신 

광산 회사 앵글로골드 아샨티(AngloGold Ashanti, AGA)는 Iduapriem 광산에서 수처리시설을 운영 및 유지하기 위해  베올리아(Veolia)의 자회사인 베올리아 가나 리미티드(Veolia Ghana Limited)와 계약을 갱신했다. 
 
베올리아는 가나 리미티드가 가나 환경보호국(EPA)의 배출 허용치를 100% 준수하고 플랜트 회수율 81%를 달성하면서 2년간 부지를 운영해왔다고 밝혔다.  

가나의 서부 지역에 위치한 Iduapriem은 연평균 금 생산량이 약 22만 온스에 달하고 약 95.8%의 회수율이 있는 노천 금광이다.

VEOLIA STRIKES GOLD WITH WATER TREATMENT CONTRACT RENEWAL AT GHANA MINE

Mining company AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) has renewed a contract with Veolia subsidiary Veolia Ghana Limited to operate and maintain a water treatment facility at the Iduapriem mine.

Veolia said it has been operating the site for two years, during which it achieved a 81% plant recovery rate and 100% compliance with the Ghana Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) discharge limit.

Located in the Western Region of Ghana, Iduapriem is an open-pit gold mine with an annual average gold production of about 220, 000 ounces and a recovery factor of about 95.8%.

Patrice Fonlladosa, executive vice president Africa & Middle East of Veolia, said: “We appreciate the vote of confidence AngloGold Ashanti has given to our company and our staff through this contract extension.”
