[미국] 다이스(Dais), 담수화 시장 진출
세계적인 물, 대기, 에너지 시장에서의 나노기술을 공급 및 판매하는 미국 텍사주 소재의 다이스 애널리틱 코퍼레이션(Dais Analytic Corporation)은 지난 5월 17일, 8천860만㎥ 규모 NanoClear 멤브레인을 수주, 담수화 시장에 진출했다.
NanoClear는 다이스(Dais)의 나노소재인 Aqualyte의 기능으로 가능해진 혁신적인 물 세척 구조이다. GWI(www.gwi.com)에 따르면 국제 담수화 시장은 3년 연속 성장하고 있다.
담수화 프로젝트는 Aquabaero가 NanoClear 시스템으로 수행하는 3가지 프로젝트 중 하나이다. 나머지 두 시스템은 NanoClear의 입증된 산업폐수처리 능력에 중점을 둔 하·폐수처리 프로젝트에서 사용된다.
다이스의 CEO인 Tim Tangredi는 "담수화 시장에 진입한 것은 담수화 과정을 위해 NanoClear 시스템을 최적화하는 방법을 3년간의 연구 끝에 얻은 결과”라면서 "다이스는 NanoClear가 세계 표준보다 1천 배 가량 더 많은 식수를 생산할 수 있는 폐열을 사용할 수 있는 능력이 있다"고 말했다.
또 Dais의 CTO인 Brian Johnson은 "담수화 시장은 다양하며 NanoClear가 특히 적합한 특정 애플리케이션이 있다"면서 "NanoClear에 사용된 멤브레인은 기존 역삼투 시스템에 비해 높은 수준의 염분을 처리할 수 있으며, 멤브레인의 표면은 박테리아 및 곰팡이생성을 차단하므로 NanoClear는 담수화 시장 부문에 적합한 제품"이라고 말했다.

Dais enters desalination market
ODESSA, FL, MAY 17, 2017 -- Dais Analytic Corporation (OTCQB: DLYT), a commercial nanotechnology materials company selling its Aqualyte™ membrane nanomaterial with engineered processes for use addressing needs in the worldwide air, energy and water markets, today announced it has received an order for delivery of its first NanoClear™ product targeted to be used in for the growing market for the estimated 88.6 million cubic meter/day desalination market of water.
NanoClear™ is a revolutionary water cleaning architecture enabled by the features in Dais's nanomaterial -- Aqualyte™. According to www.gwi.com, 2016 is was the third consecutive year that the international desalination market has seen year-on-year growth.
The desalination project is one of three projects that Aquabaero is undertaking with NanoClear systems. The other two systems will be used in projects that focus on NanoClear's proven ability to clean industrial wastewater.
