[독일] 베르고프 멤브레인·아쿠아포린, 공동개발협약 체결
독일의 베르고프 멤브레인사(Berghof Membrane Technology GmbH)와 덴마크의 아쿠아포린(Aquaporin) A/S는 최근 관형 삼투막 기술을 상용화하기 위한 공동개발계약(JDA)을 체결했다.
양사는 고강도 산업폐수 및 식품 및 음료공정 완벽한 처리(streams)을 목표로 하는 제품을 출시하기 위해 FO(forward osmosis) 및 관형 멤브레인 기술에 대한 각각의 전문성을 활용할 계획이다.
이것은 획기적인 멤브레인 기술을 개발하기 위해 베르고프 멤브레인(Berghof Membranes)과 아쿠아포린 아시아(Aquaporin Asia) 간의 이전에 발표 된 협력의 다음 단계이다. 듀얼 브랜드 튜브형 FO 멤브레인 라인에 대한 자세한 내용은 아직 발표되지 않았지만 양사는 2018년에 제품을 시장에 출시하기 위해 노력하고 있다.
베르고프 멤브레인사의 CEO인 에릭 빌데브어(Eric Wildeboer)는 "혁신적인 FO 관막 모듈은 에너지 소비를 최소화하고 용수 재사용을 극대화하며 귀중한 자원을 회수할 수 있는 혁신적인 여과 솔루션을 개발하는 것이 베르고프 멤브레인(Berghof Membranes)의 핵심이다”라면서 “이번에 맺은 새로운 협약은 청정환경을 조성하고 지속 가능한 산업 성장을 위한 최상의 솔루션을 제공한다는 우리 회사의 사명과 완벽하게 일치한다"라고 말했다.
아쿠아포리(Aquaporin) A/S의 CEO인 피터 홀멘 젠슨(Peter Holme Jensen)은 "세계 최초의 관형 FO 멤브레인 모듈을 상용화하는 데 있어 다음 단계를 밟게되어 매우 기쁘다”면서 "이 모듈은 Aquaporin Inside®FO 기술 플랫폼을 확장하고 까다로운 공정 및 폐수처리에 새로운 기회를 열 것이다"라고 강조했다.
Aquaporin Asia와 Berghof Membranes는 싱가포르 국립연구재단(NRF)이 자금을 지원하는 3년간의 연구개발 프로젝트 (1301-IRIS-02)를 통해 환경 및 수자원 조사 프로그램에서 250만 달러 싱가포르 국립수자원국(National Water Agency)의 PUB가 관리한다.

Berghof Membranes and Aquaporin sign joint development agreement
Berghof Membrane Technology GmbH and Denmark’s Aquaporin A/S have signed a joint development agreement(JDA) to commercialize tubular forward osmosis membrane technology.
The JDA initiates commercial efforts, where both companies will leverage their respective expertise in forward osmosis(FO) and tubular membrane technologies to launch products targeted for high-strength industrial wastewater and food and beverage process streams.
This is the next stage in a previously announced cooperation between Berghof Membranes and Aquaporin Asia to develop breakthrough membrane technologies. While further details are yet to be released about the dually-branded tubular FO membrane line, both companies are committed to bringing products to market in 2018.

Aquaporin Asia and Berghof Membranes have been working together under a three-year research and development project (1301-IRIS-02), funded by Singapore National Research Foundation(NRF) with a grant of S$2.5 million under its Environment & Water Research Programme and administered by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency.
