자일럼(Xylem Inc)는 잉글랜드 프리미어 리그 챔피언 맨체스터 시티(Manchester City)와 세계 여러해 파트너십을 체결하여 축구 클럽의 공식 물기술 파트너가 되었다.
Xylem은 파트너십을 통해, 전세계의 물 도전과 해결책에 대한 인식을 제고하고자 한다. 또한 Xylem은 깨끗한 물을 사용하지 않고 전세계 공동체에 물 타워를 세우는 등 자일럼 워터마크(Xylem Watermark) 프로젝트에 관한 클럽과 협력하게 된다.
Xylem 브랜딩은 경기 일과 시티 풋볼 아카데미(City Football Academy)에서 클럽의 에티하드(Etihad Stadium)에서 개최된다. Xylem은 맨체스터 시티의 자매 클럽 인 뉴욕 시티 (New York City) FC와 맨체스터 시티의 여성팀과도 파트너가 될 것이다. 이것은 프리미어 리그에서 최초의 거래이다.

펩 과르디올라(Pep Guardiola) 감독 하에 클럽은 5만5,000석의 경기장인 에티 하드 스타디움 (Etihad Stadium)에서 국내 및 UEFA 챔피언스 리그 홈 경기를 치른다. 에티 하드 캠퍼스는 최첨단 공연 훈련 및 청소년 개발 시설인 시티 풋볼 아카데미를 포함한다.
City Football Academy는 7천명 규모의 아카데미 스타디움을 갖추고 있으며, 매일 맨체스터 시티 여자 축구 클럽과 엘리트 개발대대(Elite Development Squad train)를 운영하며 홈 경기를 치른다.
맨체스터 시티는 뉴욕 시티 FC, 멜버른 시티 FC, 요코하마 F 마리노스, 클럽 아틀레티코 토크 및 FC 지로 나를 포함하는 시티 풋볼 그룹으로 구성된 8개 팀 중 하나이다.

Xylem partners with Manchester City FC on water technology
Xylem Inc has entered into a global multi-year partnership with English Premier League Champions Manchester City to become the football club’s official water technology partner.
Through the partnership, Xylem aims to raise awareness about global water challenges and solutions. Xylem will also work with the club on Xylem Watermark projects, such as building water towers in communities around the world without access to clean water.
Xylem branding will feature at the club’s Etihad Stadium on match days and at the City Football Academy. Xylem will also partner with Manchester City’s sister club New York City FC and the Manchester City women’s team.
This is the first deal of its kind in the Premier League.
“From our first meeting, it was clear that City’s value system was aligned with Xylem’s,” said Patrick Decker, president and CEO of Xylem. “To partner with a club that is committed to bringing about positive social change through football is a natural fit. Working with Manchester City, we will extend our reach to their massive fan base and, in doing so, increase our ability to create social value.”
“Manchester City and Xylem share a common commitment to operating in a sustainable and innovative way, whilst enhancing the lives of people in our communities around the world,” said Damian Willoughby, senior vice president of Partnership at City Football Group. “We are excited to harness the global appeal of football to raise awareness of water challenges and support Xylem’s efforts to tackle these issues.”
The partnership was announced at an event during Singapore International Water Week, which was attended by the club’s Joleon Lescott.
Under manager Pep Guardiola, the club plays its domestic and UEFA Champions League home fixtures at the Etihad Stadium, a 55,000 seat arena. The Etihad Campus encompasses the City Football Academy, a state-of-the-art performance training and youth development facility. Featuring a 7,000 capacity Academy Stadium, the City Football Academy is also where Manchester City Women’s Football Club and the Elite Development Squad train on a daily basis and play their competitive home games.
Manchester City is one of eight teams comprising the City Football Group which includes New York City FC, Melbourne City FC, Yokohama F Marinos, Club Atletico Torque and FC Girona.

US designer and manufacturer of filter elements for industry, Swift Filters, has announced a new line of desiccant breathers for industrial equipment.
The new Swift-Dri breathers protect equipment from moisture and particulate that can be drawn into them as they “breathe” during normal operation. As air contracts or expands, or as entering fluid displaces air in a system, outside air is drawn in from the atmosphere. The Swift-Dri breathers block moisture and particles that may be in the air from entering the system. Typical applications are on hydraulic system reservoirs, gearboxes, diesel fuel storage tanks, and pumps.
The company says that Swift-Dri desiccant breathers average almost 20% greater moisture-retention capacity than other brands. Silica gel desiccant beads prevent harmful moisture from the atmosphere from entering the system. In addition, they work to attract moisture already in equipment reservoirs during servicing or shut-down, keeping equipment dry.
Ten models are available to fit systems up to 600 gallons. Optional check valve models are available to help isolate equipment from high humidity ambient conditions and prolong breather life.
