[모르코] 바이워터, 카사블랑카 도축장 폐수처리장 개보수 계약
영국의 물 분야 엔지니어링회사인 바이워터(Biwater)는 아프리카에서 가장 큰 도축장 중의 하나인 카사블랑카(Casablanca)의 시디 오트만 도축장(Sidi Othmane Abattoir) 폐수처리장 개·보수를 위해 모로코 카사블랑카 수도국 ‘리덱’(Lyonnaise Des Eaux de Casablanca : ‘LYDEC’)과 340만 달러($ 3.4M) 규모의 계약을 체결했다.
이 프로젝트를 위해 Biwater는 기존 도축장 폐수처리 시설을 개조하여 엄격한 환경규제 및 배출 기준을 충족할 수 있도록 현장의 폐수 품질을 향상시키는 최첨단 기술을 제공할 예정이다. Biwater는 프로젝트 전반에 걸쳐 모든 기계 및 전기 설비의 설치 및 설치 작업을 수행한다.
이 새로운 계약은 모로코 라윤(Laayoune)의 새로운 폐수처리장을 위한 태양 슬러지 건조 시설의 설계 및 건설을 위해 Biwater에게 수여된 프로젝트의 최근 발표에 이어 진행된다.
모로코의 그레이터 카사블랑카(Greater Casablanca) 지역에서 음용수, 위생, 전기 및 시립 조명 서비스에 대한 관리 책임을 맡은 리덱(LYDEC)은 오피스 내셔널 에어로포트 온다(Office National des Aeroports: ONDA)에서 수행된 계약 작업의 품질을 평가한 후 Biwater와 협력하는 것을 선호한다고 표명했다. ONDA는 Casablanca 공항의 산업현장에 있는 다른 Biwater 프로젝트에 착수했다.
모로코 컨센서스 매니저인 야신 라이프(Yassine Laib)은 “모로코의 다른 계약상에 대한 소식을 공유하게되어 매우 기쁘다”면서 “이 새로운 프로젝트는 모로코의 산업 분야에서 폐수 인프라를 제공하는 Biwater의 또 다른 가치 있는 참고서 역할을 한다”고 말했다.
이 프로젝트는 물 및 폐수 솔루션에 대한 모로코의 투자의 일부이다. 모로코의 산업, 상업, 농업 및 관광산업 발전 요구를 충족시키기 위해 수도서비스 제공이 핵심 우선 순위이다.

Biwater Awarded Contract For Abattoir Wastewater Treatment Plant In Casablanca
British water engineering company, Biwater, has been awarded a $3.4M contract by Lyonnaise des Eaux de Casablanca (LYDEC) for the refurbishment of the Sidi Othmane Abattoir Wastewater Treatment Plant in Casablanca, one of Africa’s largest abattoirs.
For this project Biwater will refurbish the existing abattoir wastewater treatment plant, providing cutting-edge technology to improve the quality of the effluent on site, ensuring the treatment meets stringent environmental regulations and emission standards. Biwater will carry out the supply and installation of all mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the project.
This new contract follows a recent announcement of a project awarded to Biwater for the design and construction of a solar sludge drying facility for a new wastewater treatment plant in Laayoune, southern Morocco.
LYDEC, who has been delegated management responsibility for the potable water, sanitation, electricity and municipal lighting services in the Greater Casablanca area of Morocco, expressed its preference to work with Biwater after evaluating the quality of contract work carried out for the Office National des Aeroports du Maroc (ONDA) on another Biwater project, at the industrial site at Casablanca airport.
Remarking on the contact award, Yassine Laib, Country Manager for Morocco, said, ?We are delighted to share news of another contract award in Morocco. This new project stands to serve as another valuable reference for Biwater in providing wastewater infrastructure in the industrial sector in Morocco.?
This project is part of Morocco’s investment into water and wastewater solutions. Water service provision is a key priority in Morocco, as the country works to meet the demands of developing industry, commerce, agriculture and tourism.
