·물 소비량 13%, 자원 집약도 15% 감소 등 천연자원 소비량 감소 - 물 절약에 대한 선제적 조치 및 유량 및 방류 관리 책임감 부여 특히 중국 닝보에 위치한 중국회사의 제조 현장은 연간 물 소비량을 전년보다 68% 증가한 4천600만 리터 이상 줄였다.
·당사의 고효율 가스 연소식 보일러 및 온수기 등 친환경 제품 및 솔루션 포트폴리오로의 지속적인 전환으로, 지난해 고객 대상 CO2가 와츠 자체에서 발생한 것보다 3배 많은 11만 톤 이상 감소했다.
또한 당사는 2023년까지 수익의 25%를 스마트 및 연결된 제품 및 솔루션에서 도출하는 목표를 설정했으며, 이 목표는 안전, 에너지 효율성 및 수질 보존을 촉진하기 위한 것이다.

Watts Water Technologies Publishes Its 2019 Sustainability Report
Watts Water Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: WTS) - one of the world’s leading manufacturers and providers of plumbing, heating, and water quality products and solutions - today announced the release of its 2019 Sustainability Report, which highlights the Company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, and commitment to best-in-class sustainability performance.

Key accomplishments highlighted in the report include:
- Reduced consumption of natural resources, including a 13% reduction in water consumption and 15% reduction in resource intensity - the result of taking proactive measures to conserve water, and manage its flow and discharge responsibly.
Of note, the Company’s manufacturing site in Ningbo, China reduced its annual water consumption by more than 46 million liters - a 68% improvement from the prior year.
- A continued shift toward an eco-friendlier portfolio of products and solutions, including the Company’s high-efficiency gas fired boilers and water heaters, which reduced more than 110,000 tons of CO2 for customers last year - three times more CO2 than Watts itself generated. Additionally, the Company set a target to derive 25% of its revenue from smart and connected products and solutions by 2023 - which are designed to promote safety, energy efficiency and water conservation.
- Commitment to providing clean water access to disadvantaged communities through the Company’s ongoing partnership with Planet Water Foundation, which to date has impacted more than 15,000 people in eight different countries. Last year, Watts funded and installed water purifications systems in India and Thailand for 4,000 people.
- Recognition for sustainability performance from Newsweek magazine, who named Watts among America’s Most Responsible Companies.
