높은 유량(flow rates)과 같은 고급 기능 탑재되어 주목
대규모 RO 멤브레인 여과의 장점을 분산된 상업시설에도 적용 가능

듀폰 워터 솔루션(DuPont Water Solutions, DWS)는 ‘TapTec™ LC HF-4040’ 역삼투(RO) 멤브레인 필터를 출시했다. 전작에 비해 작고 저렴하며 효율성을 높인 이 제품은 높은 유량(flow rates)과 같은 고급 기능이 탑재되어 주목 받고 있다.

역삼투압은 대규모의 중앙집중식 수처리 및 담수화 플랜트를 위한 ‘고투(go-to)’ 솔루션이다. 여기에 사용되는 멤브레인 요소는 대개 물 회수율이 높고, 염분과 같은 오염물질 제거 성능이 뛰어나다.

듀폰 워터 솔루션은 멤브레인 기술로써 물을 생산하는 수도사업자를 지원한다. 이들은 전 세계 물을 1분 당 2천500만 갤런(9천500만 리터)씩 처리하는 세계 최대 규모의 물기술 회사 중 하나다.

그러나 대규모 유틸리티 급수 시스템을 넘어 우리가 생활하는 일상공간, 특히 사무실 건물, 레스토랑, 호텔 및 리조트에서도 효과적이고 효율적인 정수는 필요하다. 다만 정수 시스템을 도입하는 데 걸림돌이었던 것 중 하나가 고도 수처리 기술의 비용 효율성과 사용 용이성이었다.

듀폰 워터 솔루션이 출시한  ‘TapTec™ LC HF-4040’ 역삼투(RO) 멤브레인 필터는 대규모 역삼투압(RO) 멤브레인 여과의 장점을 분산된 상업시설에도 적용하기 위해 고안된 제품이다.

멤브레인 요소는 폴리아미드 박막 복합재로 구성된 나선형 타입이다. 이 제품은 하루 평균 2천800갤런(10.6㎥/일)의 유속으로 작동하며 염분 제거율은 최소 98.5%이다.

따라서 다양한 자동화 요구사항에 맞게 설계할 수 있는 엔지니어링 시스템 일부로 현장에서 저렴한 식수를 제공하는 데 적합하다.

WILMINGTON, Del., November 16, 2021, – DuPont Water Solutions (DWS) launched DuPont™ TapTec™ LC HF-4040 Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane filter. Compact, affordable, highly reliable and effective, this product combines advanced features such as high flow rates, with reliability and ease-of-use.

Reverse osmosis is the “go-to” solution for large, centralized water treatment and desalination plants. The membrane elements used there demonstrate a high water recovery rate and successful rejection of contaminants like salts. As DuPont, we support water producers with our membrane technologies. We are one of the biggest water technology companies in the world, DuPont water technologies process 25 million gallons (95 million liters) of water every minute around the world.

Beyond the large-scale utility water systems that serve us, however, there is a tremendous need for effective and efficient water purification at point-of-use, especially in office buildings, restaurants, hotels and resorts. One of the big challenges there is the cost-effectiveness and ease-of-use of advanced water treatment technologies.

To bring the advantages of large-scale reverse osmosis (RO) membrane filtration to more decentralized and commercial infrastructure use, we have launched the DuPont™ TapTec™ LC HF-4040 RO membrane filter. Compact, affordable, highly reliable and effective, this product combines advanced features such as high flow rates, with reliability and ease-of-use.

The membrane elements are spiral-wound from a polyamide thin-film composite. They perform at an average flow rate of 2,800 gallons per day (10.6 m3/d) and have a minimum salt rejection of 98.5%.

As such they are ideally suited to provide affordable drinking quality water on site as part of an engineered system that can be designed for a variety of automation needs.
