미국 상수도 제품 공급 업체인 퍼거슨워터웍스(Ferguson Waterworks)는 1천600개 이상 광범위한 수도관망 네트워크를 보완할 수 있는도록 트림블(Trimble)과 디지털 물 솔루션 파트터십을 체결했다고 18일 밝혔다.
트림블은 인프라 시스템의 관리 및 디지털화를 위한 혁신적인 솔루션 개발업체로서, 소화전 압력 레코더, 하수의 흐름 및 수위 모니터링과 같은 사물 인터넷(IoT)기반 원격 물 모니터링 시스템을 포함한다. 퍼거슨은 트림블의 ‘Trimble® Unity™’ 플랫폼 소프트웨어를 상수관망에 구축해 사무실과 현장 간 프로세스를 간소화할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
또한 이를 바탕으로 데이터 수집을 위한 자산 관리 소프트웨어를 비롯해 물 배분부터 하수수집 시스템에 이르기까지 수도 시설의 효율성을 높이고 생산성을 높일 예정이다.

Access to Technology for Digitizing Water and Wastewater Assets
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 18, 2021—Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) and Ferguson Waterworks announced today a collaboration, which benefits utility customers throughout Ferguson's extensive network of over 1,600 locations. Trimble's digital water solutions are available to Ferguson municipal and utility customers with access to a wider selection of technology to complement Ferguson's existing water solutions.
Trimble develops innovative solutions for the management and digitization of utility infrastructure systems. Solutions include Internet of Things (IoT) remote water monitoring devices such as hydrant pressure recorders, wastewater flow and level monitors, and water flow monitors. When combined with Trimble® Unity™ platform software, utilities can streamline processes between the office and field.
For data collection, Ferguson customers will also have access to Trimble's handheld GNSS receivers along with Cityworks asset management software. This software enables utilities to digitize their systems, allowing for better visibility of their assets. From water distribution systems to sewage collection systems, Trimble's full suite of water hardware and software solutions empower water utilities to gain efficiencies and increase productivity.
