[멕시코] 코카콜라, MBBR 기술 효율적으로 사용

영국 생물학적 여과조 제조업체인 워든 바이오미디어(Warden Biomedia)는 Biopipe 600 MBBR(Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor ) 기술을 제공할 수 있는 폐수처리회사 Intema S.A de C.V를 기반으로 멕시코와 계약을 확보했다.

푸에블라 시(Puebla City)에 기반을 둔 Intema S.A de C.V는 고객인 코카콜라를 위해 톨루카(Toluca)에 위치한 정비 MBBR 플랜트에서 300m³ 워든 바이오파이프(Warden’s Biopipe)를 사용할 계획이다.

바이오파이프 600은 미디어(media)가 물 속에 떠있을 때 박테리아 배양을 위한 최적의 조건과 바이오필름을 위한 큰 보호 표면적을 제공하도록 설계됐다.

회사에 따르면 이 설계는 달라붙는 미생물을 위한 보호 표면적의 높은 비율을 생성한다. 결과적으로 이것은 전체 바이오매스 농도를 증가시키고 폐수처리에 필요한 탱크 용량을 감소시킬 수 있다.

COCA-COLA TO DEPLOY MBBR TECHNOLOGY IN MEXICO

UK biological filter manufacturer Warden Biomedia has secured a contract with Mexican based wastewater treatment company,  Intema S.A de C.V to supply its Biopipe 600 Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology.

Based in Puebla City, Intema S.A de C.V will use 300m³ of Warden’s Biopipe in the refurbishment of an MBBR plant in Toluca for its client, Coca-Cola.

The Biopipe 600 is designed to provide a large protected surface area for the biofilm and optimal conditions for the bacteria culture when the media are suspended in water.

According to the company, the design creates a high percentage of protected surface area for microorganisms to adhere. In turn, this increases the overall biomass concentration and can reduce the tank volume required for wastewater treatment.

Large openings allow for the wastewater to freely pass through the media which helps maintain a healthy and thin biofilm.

Mark Barrett, managing director of Warden Biomedia, said: “We met Intema S.A de C.V at the Aquatech Exhibition in Amsterdam in November last year and they were impressed by the design and high quality of the product and the fact that it is made of recycled polypropylene. It’s an honour to work with one of the most established wastewater treatment plant solution providers in South America.”
