[이스라엘] 레시코, 가나 상수도시설 건설 및 업그레이드 시작
이스라엘의 인프라 기업인 레시코(Lesico)는 아프리카 가나(Ghana)에 8천500만 유로 규모의 상수도 시설의 건설과 업그레이드를 시작하기 위한 전제 조건을 충족시켰다. 레시코(Lesico)는 그 프로젝트에 대해 1천300만 유로의 계약금을 받았다.
레시코(Lesico)는 이탈리아에 있는 자회사를 통해 이 프로젝트에 서명했으며, 가나 국영 상수도회사의 급수시설 업그레이드와 건설 계획 및 실행을 포함한다.
계약 범위에는 볼타강(Volta river) 내 양수기 설비 건설 및 개보수도 포함된다. 매일 약 4만㎥ 규모의 수처리 시설 건설 및 개보수, 60km 거리의 송수관도 설치한다.
레시코(Lesico)는 또한 급수탑, 부스터 스테이션(booster station), 지상 저수지의 건설과 개조를 담당한다.
도이체 은행(Deutche Bank)은 이 프로젝트에 대한 자금을 제공하며, 이스라엘 보험사인 ASRA의 하위 보험과 함께 이탈리아 수출 신용기관(SACE)에 의해 보험에 가입될 예정이다.
자회사는 프로젝트 진행 상황에 따라 지속적인 지급을 받게 된다. 자금조달 협정은 가나 정부와 자금조달 주체가 체결했다.
레시코(Lesico)의 에얄 레샴(Eyal Leshamn) CEO는 "우리는 가나 정부와 맺은 이 전략적 협약의 파트너가 된 것을 자랑스럽게 생각하며, 이를 수도 및 환경 설계 구축 분야의 선두 주자인 레시코(Lesico)에게 있어 중요한 이정표라고 생각한다"라고 말했다.
에얄 레샴(Eyal Leshamn) CEO는 이어 "이번 프로젝트에서는 국제 프로젝트 자금 지원을 전문으로 하는 BlueBird 프로젝트 금융 회사의 도움으로 가나에 대한 자금지원 및 보험 패키지를 구축했다"라고 덧붙였다.
그는 특히 "이 프로젝트를 통해 우리는 새로운 시장을 개척할 수 있게 될 것이며, 우리는 다양한 활동 분야의 모든 능력과 숙련도를 활용할 수 있게 될 것이다. 이는 또한 아프리카의 그룹 비전 및 사업 확장 전략과도 병합된다"라고 강조했다.

Lesico to start construction and upgrade of water supply facility in Ghana
Israeli infrastructure company Lesico has met preconditions for it to commence construction and upgrade of a water supply facility, worth ?€85m, in Ghana. The firm received a down payment of €13m for the project.
The company signed the project through its wholly-owned subsidiary in Italy, and includes planning and execution of an upgrade and construction of a water supply facility for the Ghana national water company.
Scope of the contract also includes construction and renovation of a water pump facility in the Volta river; construction and renovation of water treatment facilities with an approximate capacity of 40,000m3 every day and laying of water transmission and distribution lines for a distance of 60km.
Lesico will also be responsible of construction and renovation of water towers, booster stations and ground reservoirs.
Deutche Bank will provide the funding for the project and will be insured by the Italian Export Credit Agency (SACE) along with a sub insurance from the Israeli insurer ASRA.
The subsidiary will receive ongoing payments depending upon the progress of the project. The funding agreement has been signed between the Ghana government and the funding entity.
Lesico CEO Eyal Leshamn said: “We are proud to be partners of this strategic agreement with Ghana government and we consider this a major milestone for Lesico, as a leading player in the water and environment design build domain."
