금융기관 및 기업을 위한 기술 솔루션 제공업체인 FIS(Fidelity National Information Services)는 11월 2일(현지시각) 뉴스위크(Newsweek)가 선정한 미국에서 가장 친환경적인 기업 중 하나로 선정됐다고 발표했다. 뉴스위크는 매년 △온실가스 배출량 △물 사용량 △폐기물 발생량 △약속 및 공시 등 4가지 기준으로 기업을 평가한다.

최근 FIS는 기후 관련 재무공시 태스크포스(TCFD)의 프레임워크(Framework)를 사용해 공식적인 기후 위험 평가를 완료했다. 이 결과를 통해 FIS는 기후 관련 위험을 평가하고 솔루션을 자사의 제품 세트에 지속 통합함에 따라 보다 나은 정보에 입각한 의사결정을 내리는 데 도움을 줄 것이다. 뉴스위크는 온실가스 배출량을 줄이고 환경에 미치는 전반적인 영향을 줄이겠다는 FIS의 목표 설정을 바탕으로 평가했다.

FIS has been named one of America’s Greenest Companies in the second annual Newsweek rankings.
The rankings were based on four criteria: greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste generation, and commitment and disclosures.
