선도적인 연안 솔루션 기업인 OEG 에너지 그룹(OEG Energy Group)은 12월 21일(현지시각) 대만의 하이 롱 해상풍력 프로젝트(Hai Long Offshore Wind Project)를 위해 턴키 해양 합동 솔루션(Turnkey Marine Coordination Solution)을 제공하는 계약을 체결했다고 발표했다.

해안에서 45~70㎞ 떨어진 수심 35~55m에 위치한 1천22MW 규모의 하이 롱 해상풍력 프로젝트는 노스랜드파워(Northland Power Inc.)와 유산에너지(Yusan Energy Pte), 미츠이(Mitsui & Co., Ltd.)가 공동으로 개발하고 있다. 가동 시 대만의 100만 가구 이상에 전력을 공급할 수 있는 청정에너지를 제공하는 대만 최대 규모의 해상풍력 프로젝트가 될 것이다. 

이번 프로젝트는 OEG 리뉴어블(OEG Renewables)의 대만 20번째 프로젝트다. OEG 재생에너지 계열사는 이 중 15개의 해상조율계약(Marine Coordination Contracts)을 체결했으며, 아시아-태평양 지역 및 전 세계 해상풍력 시장에 대한 다분야 전문서비스 제공업체로서 입지를 굳힐 것으로 기대된다. 

턴키 계약(Turnkey Contract)은 설치 및 시운전 작업 기간 동안 진행되며, 영국의 해양조정팀을 제공하고 프로젝트 해양조정센터를 보다 장기적으로 관리할 수 있는 현지 대만팀을 개발할 예정이다. 

OEG 재생에너지 계열사는 현지팀과 자원 개발을 위해 최선을 다하고 있으며, 이를 통해 고객 및 현지 지역사회와 유대를 강화하고 에너지 전환을 지원할 방침이다.

대만은 현재 중국을 제외한 아시아-태평양 지역 최대의 해상풍력 시장으로, 2030년까지 13GW, 2050년까지 55GW 규모의 해상풍력 생산능력 확보를 목표로 하고 있다. 또한, 일본과 한국 역시 2030년까지 각각 10GW와 14.3GW, 2050년까지 110GW와 92.3GW 규모의 목표를 세우는 등 아시아-태평양 지역이 주요 성장 지역으로 자리매김할 것으로 예상된다. OEG 재생에너지 사업은 전 세계 진출 경험을 살려 서비스 제공을 확대할 수 있을 것이다.

OEG Renewables companies to deliver turnkey marine coordination solution to the 1GW Hai Long Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan

ABERDEEN, Scotland-OEG Energy Group Limited (“OEG”, the “Group”), a leading offshore solutions business, is pleased to announce that Specialist Marine Consultants (“SMC”) and Fern Communications (“Fern”), both OEG Renewables businesses, have been contracted to deliver a turnkey marine coordination solution to the Hai Long Offshore Wind project in Taiwan.

The 1,022 MW Hai Long Offshore Wind Project located 45-70km from the coast in 35-55m water depths is a joint project being developed by Northland Power Inc., Yushan Energy Pte. Ltd., and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. which once operational will be the largest offshore wind project in Taiwan, providing enough clean energy to power more than one million Taiwanese households. This will be OEG Renewables’ 20th project in Taiwan, of which 15 have been marine coordination contracts, underlining the company’s position as a leader in the provision of multi-disciplined specialist services to offshore wind markets in the APAC region and around the world.

The turnkey contract will be for the duration of the installation and commissioning works and will include the provision of an experienced marine coordination team from the UK, and the development of a local Taiwanese team to manage the project marine coordination centre in the longer-term.
