스페인의 글로벌 물기업인 악시오나(ACCIONA)는 페루의 수도인 리마 벤타닐라(Ventanilla) 지역에 위치한 파차쿠텍 하수처리장(WWTP) 건설을 완료했다.

이 하수처리장은 리마 상하수도 서비스(Servicio de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Lima, SEDAPAL)가 추진하는 ‘파차쿠텍 매크로 프로젝트(Pachacutec Macroproject)’를 위한 3단계 상하수도 시스템 확충 및 개선 계획의 일환으로 건설되었다. 

악시오나는 파차쿠텍 매크로 프로젝트의 준공 목표일에 맞춰 2023년 11월에 작업이 완료되었다. 이 프로젝트는 하수를 정화하여 오염물질 없이 바다로 배출한다.

악시오나는 시운전을 거쳐 올해 2월부터 12개월 동안 파차쿠텍 하수처리장의 운영 및 유지보수를 수행하게 된다.

파차쿠텍 하수처리장은 파차쿠텍 바다와 마주하는 배출 지점인 처리장과 해저 배출구를 통해 바다로 배출하는 두 가지 주요 구성 요소로 구성되어 있다.

건설 및 시운전 기간 동안 리마 상하수도 서비스(SEDAPAL)의 이사회와 작업팀, 파차쿠텍  감독 컨소시엄(Pachacutec Supervisory Consortium, CSP) 및 감사관실 등 여러 기관이 이 시설을 방문했다.

악시오나는 이 하수처리장의 운영관리와 병행하여 환경보호에 기여하고, 주민들의 삶의 질을 개선하며, 지속 가능한 개발 목표(SDGs)를 준수하고자 하는 프로젝트의 사회적 영향관리(Social Impact Management)의 일환으로 주민들을 대상으로 하는 다양한 사회적 이니셔티브를 개발했다.

ACCIONA completes the construction of the Pachacutec wastewater treatment plant in Peru

Environmental regeneration: The facility will make it possible to purify wastewater to be discharged into the sea free of polluting elements.

ACCIONA has completed the construction of the Pachacutec Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), located in the district of Ventanilla, in Lima, Peru, which is part of the third stage of the Plan for the Expansion and Improvement of the Drinking Water and Sewerage System for the Pachacutec Macroproject promoted by SEDAPAL.

The works were completed during the month of November 2023, in compliance with the deadlines established with the client, to make way for the start-up of this important project, which will contribute to purifying wastewater to discharge it into the sea free of polluting elements.

From February of this year, after commissioning tests, ACCIONA will carry out the operation and maintenance of the WWTP for a period of 12 months.

The Pachacutec WWTP is composed of two main components: the Treatment Plant and the discharge of the treated effluent into the sea by means of a submarine outfall, being the discharge point facing the sea of Pachacutec.

During the construction and commissioning period, various authorities have visited the facilities, representing the board of directors and the works team of the Lima Drinking Water and Sewerage Service (SEDAPAL), as well as the Pachacutec Supervisory Consortium (CSP) and the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic.

In parallel to the execution of the work, ACCIONA has developed various social initiatives aimed at the population, as part of the project's Social Impact Management, through which the company seeks to contribute to the protection of the environment, improve the quality of life of the population and comply with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
